A Knick You Knew: Fuzzy Levane
Plus, which swing skills will matter the most for the Knicks this season?
Good morning! We end the week with a fun look back at Knicks history, but first, we look at the swing skills that will determine success for next season’s group.
Ask Macri
Today’s mini-mailbag question comes to us from Cole:
What are the three biggest “swing skills” that’ll dictate this team’s success? I know in prior years, this list included RJ’s passing and Randle’s shooting. Besides health / availability, what can we look out for from the current group?
This was such a tough question in past years because you could make top-three lists for a lot of individual key rotation players. Parsing it down to three questions for the entire roster was nearly impossible. Now, the Knicks are something of a known commodity, with a core of players who (mostly) give you exactly what you’re expecting.
That said, there’s more than enough meat on the bone to make a top three.
(One caveat before I get to the list: if health were eligible as a category, Mitch’s availability might be number one below. That’s the real downside to the lack of reliable backup five.)
