A recap of from Vegas and the rest of my summer travels, plus the return of "A Knick You Knew" from Ray Marcano and a mini "Ask Macri" about a recent draft blunder.
Good morning! Before we get to today’s three-part newsletter, a quick shout out to KFS reader Conor, who pointed out an error in my Precious Achiuwa recap from yesterday.
Because Achiuwa was re-signed using Bird rights and received more than a 20 percent raise, he can’t be traded until January 15, NOT December 15. Realistically, very few NBA trades happen in December anyway, but the Knicks have also bucked this trend in recent years, acting early in acquiring Derrick Rose, Cam Reddish and most notably, OG Anunoby. Regardless, Achiuwa will be here through at least the first half of the season.
Second, a quick reminder that I’m still sending out three newsletters per week for about the next six weeks. We’ll start to ramp back up to a normal schedule once training camp gets closer. For the rest of the summer though, guest contributor Ray Marcano is back, gracing us with columns once per week. That’s where we get started today…
