Dog Days
Summer League is (thankfully) almost over.
Good morning! One more summer league game to go. In the meantime, for everyone heading to Fanatics Fest this weekend, be sure to check out the KFS panel tomorrow at 3:30 and then my interview with Deuce McBride on Saturday at 1:15. Hope to see everyone there!
Vegas SL Gm 4: Warriors 87, Knicks 77
Woof.
If you thought the Summer Knicks’ first two games against the Nets and Spurs were bad, last night gave those losses a run for their money.
It doesn’t say much for the Warriors that they only won by 10 when:
New York shot 9-of-38 from behind the arc
They had more turnovers (21) than assists (15)
The Knicks committed 22 fouls in a 40-minute game
No, this was not the cleanest of affairs, which should probably be taken as a sign to pack things up and begin summer break in earnest.
For some more than others.
I feel a little bad doing this, but we have to start with Pacome Dadiet. As Jeremy Lin said in his delightful commentary on ESPN2, the fact that Dadiet was even playing in the fourth game of summer league tells you all you need to know about his current status with the Knicks.
And it didn’t go great.
