Game 59: Knicks 114, Grizzlies 113

In no way, shape or form was I planning on writing a newsletter tonight.

In fact, before I get to the game, a quick apology:

To the 40 or so guests in attendance at my cousin Jennifer’s surprise 50th birthday party at Tutto Apposto restaurant in Staten Island, I sincerely do not apologize for screaming “motherf——r” at the top of my lungs when OG’s three went down with 5.1 seconds remaining.

Never have I seen a room full of innocent bystanders so quickly stop what they were doing and pause their conversations in collective horror.

In my defense, I wasn’t even the one who asked the restaurant to put the game on. I was fully planning on watching a replay first thing Saturday morning. Thankfully, there was another fan at the party. I am capable of many things, but ignoring a Knicks game on 10 feet from my table is not one of them.

As such, here’s 10 takeaways from one heck of a win…
