Good morning.

At least we don’t have to watch the Celtics raise any more banners this season.

Game 1: Boston 132, Knicks 109

  • The Celtics nearly broke the all-time record for most made 3’s in an NBA game, settling for a tie only because they missed their last 13 attempts from downtown.

  • New York’s defense certainly contributed to the Boston onslaught

  • An efficient Knicks offense was rendered meaningless because they took half as many threes as the Celtics

  • Deuce McBride put on a show and Jalen Brunson looked very good

  • Mikal Bridges’ shot looked scary early, but he nailed two threes in the second half with a smoother looking form

  • Pacome Dadiet was the ninth man, playing five first half minutes and checking back in for garbage time

There are ass-kickings, and then there are ass-kickings.

And that was an ass-kicking.
