Game 1: Boston 132, Knicks 109
The Celtics nearly broke the all-time record for most made 3’s in an NBA game, settling for a tie only because they missed their last 13 attempts from downtown.
New York’s defense certainly contributed to the Boston onslaught
An efficient Knicks offense was rendered meaningless because they took half as many threes as the Celtics
Deuce McBride put on a show and Jalen Brunson looked very good
Mikal Bridges’ shot looked scary early, but he nailed two threes in the second half with a smoother looking form
Pacome Dadiet was the ninth man, playing five first half minutes and checking back in for garbage time
There are ass-kickings, and then there are ass-kickings.
And that was an ass-kicking.
