Thanks for the Memories
Before we fully turn the page on the RJ & IQ era, let's look back at their Top 12 moments as Knicks.
Good morning. Time to take a brief walk down memory lane…
Game Night
TONIGHT: Bulls at Knicks, 8:30 pm (you read that correctly. The time was changed after the game switch from ESPN to ABC).
Injury Report: Zach LaVine, Nikola Vucevic and Torrey Craig are out for Chicago. Malachi Flynn is out for the Knicks.
Halftime Zoom: Here’s the link for tonight.
What to watch for: The Bulls played last night against the Sixers in Philly. They’re also extremely thin at the moment, what with how many key pieces are on the shelf.
But before yesterday, they were 10-5 in their last 15 games with a plus-3.4 net rating that ranked 9th in the league over that time. Defense has become their calling card, so we should expect another low-scoring affair at the Garden.

580 games is a lot of time to develop an attachment.
That’s how many combined games (playoffs included) RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley played for the Knicks.
With all that time dedicated to a pairing that will in some ways always be linked in franchise history, it’s only right that we give them a proper sendoff. So, with a tip of the cap to Jonas P for making the suggestion, here are the Top 12 moments of RJ & IQ’s Knick career.
In chronological order…
Honorable Mention:
“Yo, I’m a Knick”
March 2, 2020 - Rockets at Knicks
RJ Barrett: 27 points (tied career high), 5 assists, 5 rebounds
This was Leon Rose’s first official game as President, and boy did he get a show.
The Knicks team he inherited stunk, en route to a 21-45 finish, while the Rockets were bound for the playoffs. It ended up being New York’s only win against an over-.500 team in their last 16 games, but it was big enough to generate the teensiest bit of excitement heading into Year One of the Leon Era.
The biggest reason for that was RJ. No, he wouldn’t make the All-Rookie team after putting up highly inefficient counting stats for the season, but this win showed the promise that got him drafted 3rd overall, perhaps more than any single game during the year.
