Winning may be more fun than fun is fun, but for Head Coach Tom Thibodeau, winning with a little more job security and a much bigger bank account is the most fun thing of all.
As first reported by Woj, Thibs agreed on a three-year contract extension that’ll take him through the 2027-2028 season. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Ian Begley reported that the extension is “in line with the current market for head coaches,” implying it will earn Thibs north of $10 million annually. Begley also wrote that Thibodeau “always knew they’d find common ground on extension” and was comfortable with the front office taking care of other offseason business before worrying about his deal.
