To my eye which isn't very learned, but I watch a lot of basketball , on every level. OG is a defensive Savant.

I disagree...you have a very learned eye!

Key questions: will DDV and OG shoot well tonight? And will ex Pistons folks continue their positive momentum?

OG shuts Kuminga down and Knicks pull it out.

is anyone else worried about Deuce? This last Kings game showed what could happen to Deuce if teams start pressing up on him and we all know that teams see the tape. Worried that Deuce led lineups will have a tough time even getting in to sets on O and that he may end up being the defensive call when needed and not getting full rotation minutes come playoffs. Burks at least was able to use screens to get into the paint where as Deuce couldn't get the ball below the 3pt line

He heard you. Career high 29 at GS tonight!

Welp, didn't even make it through the day on my Mitch comments below and now OG is out indefinitely. What's a brotha gotta do to get some healthy players? GS is playing well so we are up against it tonight now. Sheesh!

Report at the GS game by broadcasters was OG looking to return by the Nets game in the Garden so will miss Denver. Also said Thibs thinks Mitch will return soon. Let us hope.

If OG continues to struggle shooting bc of elbow, but continues to dominate defensively, should the Knicks prioritize resting him over seeding? If so, when?

Note: Thibs will not care and play him 30+ mins regardless of offense so i get this is somewhat a moot point.

To me the most mind blowing fact is all that has been accomplished without the former anchor of the defense in Mitch Robinson. Since I-Hart has not really Wally Pipped him it makes you wonder how good these Knicks could be with a 100% healthy Mitch back in the rotation, even off the bench.

He'll need 10 games minimum pre-first round just to have a shot to help us so the time is short. Having Randle back at 85% will help a lot but for the Knicks to make a deep run this year don't they still need a healthy Robinson? Seems like a no brainer to me.

PA cannot stop elite front lines in a series at 6'8". It could prove early on to be our Achilles heel and stop our run dead in its tracks. Orlando has four 6'10"+ guys in their rotation. Depth at the 5 for rim protection is the real story for the run isn't it? I can't see the second round without Big Mitch.

I agree that Mitch coming back helps them. I would be very surprised if he got 10 games before the playoffs to warm up; I'm guessing it'll be more like the last 2 weeks of the regular season. I am a little bit more bullish that PA can hold his own as a backup in certain matchups, especially because he can do some things on offense (and defense, really) that Mitch can't. Again though, depends on the matchups.

Yes thanks, we do need some better intel on return timing with Mitch. Especially against Orlando it would seem to be a pivotal factor assuming all other factors stay roughly the same, which is laughable I suppose, but it's all we got right now this early in the playoff race. Obviously Randle at least 85% healthy and in the right frame of mind will also help a ton.
