Here we go again. Getting excited about Summer League and dreaming big on our kids. Here's a pie in the sky dream....Thibs was a bit adverserial last year in not playing the kids, marrying himself to Redacted (good behavior or not) and leaning into his stubborn ways more than usual, because he wasn't feeling secure in his job...he was going to go in or go out on his terms. Now that he's got some security and his crew further codified (Brunson Sr. and Jr.) he'll relent and make the most logic move of all and start Grimes. If he loves any of the kids it is Grimes. Let Fournier thrive in a bench role and give the Knicks valuable shooting in a more limited role. Love the memorial to Taj! As noted, we knew this was coming but Washington? Come on Taj go for a ring my guy. I'd be shocked if Taj doesn't end up on the Knicks staff whether Thibs is here or is not in 2024.
I really hope last season was a late career wake up call for Thibs. Can an old dog/coach learn new tricks? Guess we'll find out in a few months. And thanks on the Taj piece...I could write about Gibson for hours. My favorite Knick of the last 3 seasons for sure.
I understand the Taj situation, but I had seen in several places multiple teams were interested in him. Couldn’t they have recouped a second round pick ? Or was that asking too much ?
I know Grimes is deserving. But my Stars go to Jericho Sims. Talking about a players ability to guard 1-5, Jericho guards 1-5 in one play. Sure he can Jump that’s obvious. He has the foot speed and length to blow opposing “Summer League” teams plays altogether.
I think there's arguments both ways. If he's shut down, it's a massive vote of confidence. If not, it means they love what they see and want to see more. Either way, this version if Grimes is extremely exciting .

I think it was asking too much, especially since he's on a vet minimum now and his team option with NY was for about double as much
