There was a time I was concerned he might be tempted to go the route of what amounts to Twitter sports gossip, instead of true Journalism.
I remember we had a heated discussion privately, about a variety of things. And coming out of that, I had more respect and faith in this young man, than I ever had.
Kris is the real deal.
He put in the work, and keeps putting in the work, he makes sports Journlism better, by striving for integrity, but also neverbeing afraid to say things plainly. Kris also avoids being caught up.in trends and mob mentality. Truly independent.
We are so lucky to have him.
Beautifully written Kris, I hope he,along with Mr. Marcano, continue to send contributions to this wonderful newsletter.
This is beyond kind and so incredibly appreciated. I hope the peace resonated with you and maybe even provided some clarity to how you view your relationships in life with others! But most importantly, the fact that you took the time to share this sentiment is noticed, and I am grateful for it!
Nice! But I was told that perspective-taking wasn’t allowed on social media!???
Also, remember it goes full circle - if you live long enough, there’s the fun bit where kids have to tell their parents that they aren’t allowed to do things any longer (drive, hit links in texts from companies or agencies, etc). My kids remind me of that ALL the time.
My Dominican grandparents are 98 and 94 years old. I’m going to let you interpret that however you want as the response to this comment. Also, thank you so much.
A breath of fresh air to see something so thoughtful and well written by a younger member of the Knicks faithful. As an old head, these are the things I cling to for hope in the generations to whom we’re passing the torch. LGK.
It’s about time KFS looked critically at Teflon Thibs. Good start. There is so much to criticize but for me most of all he is a sneaky bad in game coach which always shows up in the playoffs. I mean as the Bulls were torching the Knicks was it an assistant who reminded him that Wright was on the team for the last possession? How about zero defensive improvement from the guru? It’s been 55 games. Still blowing switches and rotations. I would sign up for a coach like Joe Mazzulla, Mark Daignault or Dusty May every day of the week. Looking forward to the Thibs evisceration column when they are eliminated in May if they make it that far.
Really hoping OG plays before Hart gets back and Thibs finally go to the 5 out starting lineup (though knowing him starting Precious > Duece is in play).
Beautiful work by Kris.

That was beautiful Kris. All it was missing was a #FireThibs
I know you know I’m not going to opine one way or another whether the hashtag is a reference to a long running bit or anything else!!
Hey Jon hope u had a nice break. Two questions I’ve been meaning to ask.
1. Thoughts on the starting 5s very mediocre net rating?
2. Thoughts on Knicks having a higher net rating with Brunson off the floor than on?
