If Thibs rolls out the same starters and same old rotations, it will be proof that there is something very, very wrong. He either is intentionally trying to lose or there is something deeper and possibly mentally wrong with the coach.
HIs motivations are really screwed up. He doesn't try stuff because he's afraid to be proven wrong and he's making terrible lineup decisions to make players and the front office look bad.
I don't think it's fair to blame any of the players because none of them are being put in an advantageous position or allowed to do anything except what Thibs says. As a PG you can't even see the floor until you agree to stop doing any of that crazy point guard stuff and just drive to the basket every time. Randle is still really good but no one is good for 40 minutes while playing defense hard and carrying the offense. That's just stupid, insulting and mean.
Unrelated pet peeve- A real PG isn't someone who can drive to the basket like Rose. Rose is just a little shooting guard who is short & isn't a great shooter. The key skill of a real PG is the ability to make other players better by getting them the ball in the perfect spot at the perfect time. They of course need other skills.
100% on the PG comments. That's why I love guys like Brunson, not flashy but defends and makes his teammates better. But back to Thibs, I think he is making it easy for the Knicks to fire him. The fans, the media and most likely management are screaming for the young guys — everyone knows the season is lost and it’s time to see what you have plus develop the young guys. If Thibs doesn’t agree, he’s out. Minnesota all over again. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen such dumb stubbornness from a coach.
So...are we gonna play the fucking kids already? We know Thibs is a stubborn old goat (lower case goat not to be confused with Greatest Of All Time), but come on dude. The season is over. Let's see what we have so we can make some good decisions on assets next year. Frustrating.

Robinson and Sims are super athletic, but are they practicing free throws? They are shoot less than 50% from line and are trending down.
