If you mention Al Harrington, you have to mention that he got TWO techs in two different close games for hanging on the rim after dunks... both games they lost by like a point or two. I guess he gets extra points for being a good tank commander?
Happy Thanksgiving! Great newsletter coming out of the break. The thing that impresses me most about Burks is he seems to anticipate passes for steals better than any other Knick. My bet is this is b/c he's a seasoned vet who previews opponent game tape and knows what's coming (more so than the young guys). On the topic of Kemba, does it really matter THAT much whether he starts and exits early (see Elf rules) or is benched? After watching the Hawks game we can all dream on IQ as a starter, but I don't think it has to be this season. More IQ minutes and further seasoning under great vets like Rose, Kemba and Burks will only help his cause in seasons ahead (which will matter more). Similarly, we love Obi but why not leave him in the oven until he's fully baked? Love his game, but consider with 5 seconds on the shot clock and a PG desperately passing the ball out of trouble with it winding down...is Obi ready to create a great shot or would you rather have Ju (for all his moping and comparatively lesser body language) have the ball?
