That last point is excellent, and should be said again and again as loudly as possible. Every win is worth EXACTLY the same - some feel better than others, but it’s no more valuable to beat the Heat (forgive me, GMAC) than it is to beat the Wizards for the most part. We have scuttled entire seasons/decades by losing to teams we should beat even if we’ve also won a few against teams we shouldn’t. The reason we are now a “good” team is that we’re winning the games we should win while ALSO having a puncher’s chance in the rest. IMO, that’s why Thibs is so good. He maximizes the wins against the teams we should beat and sets us up for a shot at the rest.
Offensive rebounds were not tracked by the NBA before the 73-74 season, if anyone noticed no Russell, Wilt, Elvin Hayes, Unseld, Petit, etc amongst the leaders.
I should always make a point to note that. With blocks to. Wilt and Russell would each have double what whoever the all time block leader currently has.
I love the way the Knicks personnel have evolved in the last year: Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, and Donte Divencenzo. Hard to believe they come from the same FO decision makers who brought us Evan Fournier and Kemba Walker. How could they have misread Tom Thibodeau? Or did they?
Im glad u brought up about starting DD....IMO he knows how to play as a 4th option in this O....And I think the 2nd unit would open up Grimes' game...thoughts?
certainly agree on DDV knowing how to play as a 4th option. My worry with Grimes is that he won't get the benefit of Julius and Jalen sucking in defenses. Also, he doesn't quite have the floor game of DDV, so it's not like giving him the extra usage will necessarily result in his game flourishing. I think he's just as capable of showing more skills as a starter as he'd be able to as a backup. All that said, I don't hate the idea.
The stat about not having any back-to-back, wire-to-wire victories since 2007 is pretty wild. There's some built in randomness in there, since who scores the first basket of the game is kind of a toss-up, but still.

Brilliantly said as usual sir.

Can't wait until you write a piece entitled, "Donte's Inferno." That's it. Thanks. Happy Thanksgiving to the KFC community. Peace.

for sure. I'm sure in 12-13 they had a lot of wins where they got the lead pretty early. Still though, kind of amazing.
I think there's a low key rivalry between Ant Edwards and RJ Barrett. I hope RJ knocked out all the rust and shows out tonight.
I can see that, sure. They'll need RJ to be better than he was Saturday if they want to win.
