Broken be the curse!

Even with the most orange and blue tinted glasses, absolutely no one had “The Deuce Leap” in the cards. Especially not in 2024 after starting the year buried on the bench, essentially. We’re certainly appreciating and recognizing his play, but somehow it still feeeels understated. Let’s be honest, we were saying sure give Deuce the first opportunity to compete for the tiny leash, end of bench minutes with Malachi Flynn! This guy has been a massive revelation for a team with title vision and opens up so much out of nowhere for Thibs. He’s still the feistiest defender on the team who can now give us an efficient 25 if needed (with a healthy Brunson) WHAT!? And you nailed it Macri, it’s his confidence and willingness to pull shots at volume that opens it all up. Efficiency on 4 shots is not the same as efficiency on 15, and that’s what we call… wait for it… a leap. It’s been said if only he were ever able to get more minutes, he could get the deserved all-defense recognition and his offense would be the key to that. We’re actively watching that situation load for upcoming seasons, I believe.

Just so much to gush about him as a player and seemingly a person, but he’s just such a dog who I couldn’t be happier to have locked up on THIS team, on a steal of a contract for the next couple of years (I hope)!

"Alec Burks .... managed just a 2-for-9 performance in his 15 minutes of play. On the bright side, he did notch one assist, which is like five assists for a normal player." LMAO!! I almost spit coffee all over my monitor reading that..😂😂😂

I never would have thought, the two Piston players could have been negatives in their performances. At this point I would be happy with them being neutral. I know adjustment periods are to be expected, and the team isn't really practicing at this point in the season. However Bogdan's turnovers are scary. Deuce's efficiency on offense fooled me. I saw him on Westchester up close, he would have some incredible scoring games, but never so consistent. His low turnover rate is a credit to his floor vision. When other teams start defending him, I have no doubt his assist rate will go up. As opposed to Burkes and Bogdanovic , both who forgot how to pass the ball in Detroit. Hope if they aren't practicing, they are watching the other Knick's players

So stoked to see Deuce playing this well. I loved that draft pick and was somewhat dispirited about how little run he was getting. His new contract has a chance to become an incredible steal if he keeps playing like this.

I recall last season how Deuce was part of the turnaround when he was inserted into the rotation in December. Then the team trades for Hart and he was out of the rotation. But he never sulked. I remember him leading the cheers during Hart’s first home game. Just a true pro to stay ready. I’m really happy to see him take advantage of the opportunity.

Hard to believe that we are looking at a 50-win season and yet we have never seen this team fully healthy. Even the January run was without Mitch. Unbelievable. Fully healthy this team can legitimately challenge anyone in the East, and even put a scare into Big Bird & The Nuggets.

So impressed with Deuce great character and perseverance. Love what his bro said yesterday pretty funny. Score one for Knicks culture . Hopefully the week we get off for play in games Burks and Bogey can string some solid practices together . They seems a little lost but they are pros and still have hope they can be positive contributors.

The gods are in fact smiling on the Knicks right now but we need them smiling during our playoff run! Is this a mirage, a vision from the heavens, or are we peaking a little too early? Is this just the prep for what could be a Knicks run for the ages once we get all three starters back with 7-8 games under their belts? I've argued that we could make the ECF even sans Randle, but it all seems so far away why not dream big like gods do?

With all three back healthy how far can this team go? I hate to say it but not far enough without the two Pistons starting to hit on all cylinders again. We desperately need Bogs and Burks shooting off the bench because Deuce will not be on every night, especially in the new season where things will get very hectic on the court and the more rugged defense takes its horrible toll.

Deuce will not be a revelation anymore come playoff time and teams WILL ADJUST and try to beat the hell out of him. That's why you need sharpshooters who can step in when cold and fire them up without hesitation. Now that McBride has usurped his minutes it's a different role for Bogey and he is clearly lost.

Doesn't even look like the same dude that went 6-6 from three a short while ago. He was averaging 20 ppg for Detroit. I scream like I was shot every time Burks makes a terrible play because I know how clutch he was the last time he wore the orange and blue.

But I'll say it here that we need both of them to embrace the changes and get clear mentally on a limited role as eight balls in either corner pocket. Stay in your lane and pull that trigger when needed fellas. If it all comes together we could be in for an incredible ride so buckle up and pass the popcorn up to the gods every once in a while. They clearly do not control all the affairs of men. If they did our beloved AB would not look like bad Randle on every play these days. That wasn't the script they had in mind when we stole them from Motown! We need the Bad Boys to be good again!

Thanks for everyone leaving the bar after the third quarter and not tempting fate with the KFS curse…

You had it as a tip in but my goodness, the Pistons. Bojan looks like he’s trying to be part of the team but just can’t hang, and Burks looks like he doesn’t understand the offense. You can tell Bojan is pressing on offense, hence the daily airball he puts up. With Burks, it’s like he he’s always pressing.
