Good for Isiah. He gave the Knicks their moneys worth. Will always love IHart.

I’m having trouble w the math on an I-Hart offer of 2 years plus a team option on yr 3. Even if it’s 27M - taking $54M guaranteed for 2 yrs (team option for yr 3) seems questionable if the Knicks are indeed offering $72M for 4 yrs.

Yeah. The fear has always been, if a team offers fewer years, it’d be for balloon money / year. If a team offered 4 years, it’d be for Nic Clayton money or more. Don’t get my hopes up, OKC beat writer for The Athletic!!

With his Achilles situation, wouldn’t IHart value the security of a four year deal with Knicks? We all hope! And with his whole family in Oregon to assist with his making a decision, IHart may also value greatly his known experience with the Knicks, playing in the Mecca that many top players say there is no equivalent ~ and playing with the winning culture established by Brunson, and be part of bringing a championship to NYK. And may his wife exclaim loudly “NYC vs Oklahoma City” ?! ( … I’ve lived in Cincinnati which is like a mere small neighborhood in NYC … and I’ve lived in Manhattan both before and after Ohio … is OKC much different than Cincinnati?! ). May IHart listen closely to his true heart and value his happiness and joy playing for NYK versus another few million dollars, when he’s already a multi-millionaire 💖

Is it possible ro give a player an otion for a more than one year contract. Could IHart get a two year contract with an otion to go another three years, for example.

The way our Front Office has operated makes me want to think IHart could still be back. If not, there's not much left out there. Nick Richards is ok, but not at IHart's level.

Not a fan of Julius at the 5.

Hopefully today's post encouraged you a bit more. Julius at the 5 on offense, OG on D

It does.

And we have plenty of time to figure it out, and enough talent to pile up wins until we do.

It’s looking like the Knicks will lose iHart to Orlando or OKC + Philly picks up George + Knicks sign some random back up 5 = leaves us where in the East? Boston, Sixers, Knicks, Magic?

Too early for conference rankings, but I have them neck and neck with Philly for 2nd, Bucks 4th, Pacers 5th, Magic 6th.

3 years guaranteed at $25M+ seems more likely if OKC flew out to Eugene, OR as reported

Except they didn’t offer that . So that’s good.

Schlect reported (then deleted) a 2+1 at about 23. So that doesn’t blow the Knicks out of the water.
