Great stuff thanks for answering my questions! Hope they don’t trade anyone really like the team as currently constructed just seems clunky at times . Hopefully Randle realizes this season we don’t need 25 a night from him anymore young guys ready to rock .

The NBA needs to scrap the Last Two Minutes reports. If your team is on the wrong end of bad calls, it just rubs salt in the wound. If you’re on the lucky end, it takes away from a hard-fought win. There has to be a better way to show refereeing accountability.

There also has to be a better way to adjudicate flopping techs. It seems like right now, a ref observes a flop, then calls it at the next dead ball. Given that they straight up missed a flop, maybe a better option is to review it at the next timeout?

In the case of Brunson, the ref obviously missed that he landed on Tatum’s foot, only seeing the “exaggerated” leg kick and noting it for flopping. If they reviewed it at the next timeout, presumably they would have rescinded the tech. And in the case of Porzingis’ flopping tech, they still could review it to make sure DiVincenzo did fully extend his arm to push KP to the floor.

The NBA admitted they got the Brunson call wrong - if this is the actual refs Twitter, which I think it is

What’s the point of a daily “last two minute report” when the officiating in the NBA is as bad as it is? You just need to accept that the majority of these guys are terrible and hope that your team can play through it. The league might as well give Donaghy his job back with how bad some of its referees are these days.

Question: are the Hawks considered to be good this year? The Hawks follower who is on the KFS podcast today has them slated for 53 wins. Seems like an awfully high number-did they add anyone of consequence? Talented team that clearly is capable of beating anyone on any given night but 53 wins sounds somewhat delusional to me. If you told me 44-45 wins for them I can see it but other than Milwaukee and Boston nobody in the East really jumps out at me as a sure bet 50 plus win squad.
