Before we start arguing about tanking vs being a try-hard next season, let's take a minute to look at reality for the Knicks and possibly avoid this controversy altogether.
Lakers, Clippers, GSW, Utah, Denver, Houston look like locks to make it. Minn will be better, portand will have a full team, NOLA will improve. Griz will improve. Dallas might not make playoffs in the west. Could Knicks have 2 lotto picks next season?
I don't see it myself (and apologies for the late reply)...I'll have something on this upcoming this week, but in short, I think when you have a player like Luka on the roster, it sets the bar at a certain level, barring injury of course.

Knicks have the Dallas pick. With most of the teams in the west improving are we 100% sure the Mavs make the playoffs next season?
To me they are, as long as Luka stays healthy. I think he's that good.
